Cinco de Mayo is here… and copious amounts of alcohol will be consumed whilst celebrating this commonly misunderstood holiday. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican military victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Drinking to excess can excuse your hangover on May 6th, but it won’t change the date of Mexican Independence Day (September 16, 1810).
However you choose to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and for whatever reason you celebrate… I want to help flatten the hangover curve on May 6th. Here is a recipe for a refreshing, “NUG Pop” infused-hangover-remedy, that is designed to commemorate Cinco de Mayo, and make May 6th hangover-free.
- 4 oz Ginger Ale
- 1 Prickly Pear NUG Pop (10mg THC+10mg CBD)
- ½ oz Mexican Lime Juice (fresh squeezed)
- ½-1 oz agave nectar (optional, to sweeten as needed)
Pour over ice, stir, and garnish with lime wedge!
